Hello there.
I’m Sarah, a graphic designer, small business owner, occasional knitter, and reluctant sewist.
During the summer of 2015, after saying I’d never make a quilt, I picked up a Haptic Lab constellation quilt pattern and made it over the course of a few months. As I worked on it, I said “this is nice, but it’s really an embroidery project, I’ll never make a pieced quilt.”
I finished the binding on the constellation quilt and then jumped into my first pieced quilt.
After finishing the quilt top I decided to make a shirt. I said I’d never make my own clothes, but now my wardrobe is nearly entirely handmade.
Some other things I’ve said I wouldn’t make and have:
- Jeans
- Clothes for others
- A sweater
- An Etsy shop
- A public sewing blog
- An about page on the blog I said wouldn’t make
I started this blog as a private sewing notebook and kept track of my finished projects for over a year before I made it public! It started to feel silly not to share, so here it is.
You can email me!
Also, here is a picture of my cat:
