Deer and Doe Melilot

April 10, 2017

I made my third Melilot with the fit adjustments from the workshop at Stitch. The fit is so much better on the back. In the workshop, we added in darts, but I actually liked the flowy back without them for this top so I left it flat. The only other change I made from the other versions was to hand finish the collar stand, which looks great.

I used Workroom Social Miramar rayon in a blue splatter print. This rayon feels really nice, but I actually found it a little trickier to work with than the C+S rayon. It hangs really nicely though and I’d definitely use it again. I also used some vintage buttons I picked up at the antique store next to Stitch.

I’m happy with how this shirt came out!

Anyway, join me next time as I try to make bialys, something I can’t even find a poor imitation of.
