Helen’s Closet Reynolds Top

July 20, 2021

I had just enough fabric from my Pietra Pants leftover to make a tank! I decided to make a Helen’s Closet Reynolds, thinking that it would use less fabric since it’s cropped (it did). The only edit I made was to lengthen the top by 1″ so it wasn’t…

Elodie Wrap Top

July 8, 2021

I’m planning on making an Elodie Wrap Dress for a wedding in August, so I decided to make a top version to test it out instead of making a muslin. I measured around 13.5″ up from the bottom of skirt of the above the knee view and followed the curve…

Moon Phase Button Camas Blouse

August 11, 2019

I’ve been eyeing the Thread Theory Camas Blouse for such a long time! The pattern struck me as so comfy, but with some really nice design details. I finally ordered some super cheap fabric to make a wearable muslin, and am pretty happy with it! I love the gathers on…

We met 40 years ago as tiny bebes in the park, and through the years we drifted apart several times but always found each other again at various dance recitals, school field trips, beach clubs, fabric stores, and summer jobs. The universe kept shoving us together til it stuck. This quilt is a hug from afar. I might not be able to get up to New Jersey frequently but this quilt will be there for cozy/comforting times as needed.

I picked out my fabric, then used a quilt generator at savoreverystitch.com (the last slide), then imported it into Photoshop and colored over it (second to last slide), basically changing the whole thing, but it was an awesome starting place.

It was really worth it to make this before I worked on the leather - I was able to figure out topstitching settings (it came out wobbly here) and some construction tweaks. Plus @skeletonjones reaps the benefits!
