Moon Phase Deer and Doe Melilot

February 2, 2019

I made another melilot! I originally bought this fabric to make a dress, but I knew a shirt would get more wear. I have enough leftover for another project, which is good, because it’s amazing. This version has a collar and short sleeves. Not much else to report!…

Plaid Deer + Doe Melilot

March 6, 2018

I had just enough plaid fabric leftover from Mal’s long-sleeved Fairfield to squeeze a Melilot out for myself. It was pretty close, and I was only able to pattern match across the front. I used the same wooden chevron buttons as the Fairfield as well, from Arrow Mountain, because…

Deer and Doe Melilot Dress Hack

May 20, 2017

Once I got my Melilot fitting properly on the back, I knew I needed to make a dress version. I used some Art Gallery rayon from Stitch. To change the pattern, I pretty much just extended the hem down. I liked the way the skirt part of the Seamwork Adelaide…

Here’s my second pieced quilt, made for my very Here’s my second pieced quilt, made for my very special bff @s.a.m.r.i.v! We met 40 years ago as tiny bebes in the park, and through the years we drifted apart several times but always found each other again at various dance recitals, school field trips, beach clubs, fabric stores, and summer jobs. The universe kept shoving us together til it stuck. This quilt is a hug from afar. I might not be able to get up to New Jersey frequently but this quilt will be there for cozy/comforting times as needed.

I picked out my fabric, then used a quilt generator at savoreverystitch.com (the last slide), then imported it into Photoshop and colored over it (second to last slide), basically changing the whole thing, but it was an awesome starting place.
