In my continuing quest to be comfortable this summer, I’m trying to make a few tanks and dresses. Here is my second Springfield.
This dizzying check pattern is a remnant I picked up at Stitch for $10. The neckline looks like the bias binding is pulling away, but it looks OK on. This fabric was kind of a pain since it’s a slightly stretchy rayon, but it came out nice! I ended up taking it in about a half inch along the side seams from my last one.
I also picked up some nani iro double gauze for a third, and I have some Marimekko cotton I might try, depending on how stiff it feels. It might be cute to try and make a dress out of it, similar to the Deer + Doe Arum dress with princess seams down the back as the main shaping, except as a tank.
