Lodo Dress #2

June 1, 2017

I ordered this fabric from fabric.com, thinking the Birch double gauze and quilting cottons are so nice the knits must be nice too. I was wrong. The drape is weird, the white backing shows through if it stretches at all, and also through the stitching. I sewed up part of it then gave up and thought I’d just take it apart for scraps. I ended up going back to it about a week later, and finished it using white for topstitching to mask the issues. It looks ok…it’ll work for a quick throw on and go to someone’s house kind of dress.
