I stopped at Stitch and Fibre Space today to start gathering supplies for gifts!
Mal helped me pick out some fabric for Jackie’s tote:
I of course had to mock it up in photoshop! I’d prefer the tapestry fabric on the front, but Mal raised the point that Jackie doesn’t wear a lot of patterns, and we want to make sure it’s something she’ll tote around with her. So we’ll have it peeking out of the pocket and on the sides, and the interior will be a pattern party.
I should have just enough of the Robert Kaufman Essex to make the bias binding and straps, but I can always order another yard. I’ll also need one snap (could probably skip), and two zippers (18″ separating and 10″ non), flexfoam, and mid-weight interfacing. I should also order binding/wonder clips. Will probably get this started after vacation, or maybe early Nov.
I also stopped and got yarn for Jamie’s baby sophisticate. I usually use Spud & Chloe sweater, but this Remix stood out to me and looks like it will be a nice texture. My inspiration is this version I saw on Ravelry in Brooklyn Tweed. Plus, the Berroco ended up being $ cheaper.
