I can’t believe I didn’t start notes for this yet! I think because it’s a pretty simple skirt.
I cut out a size 12, but shortened the length a few inches. I pinned the fabric together and it seemed a bit tight and bunched around the hips too much when I walked, so I decided I may need to sew a smaller seam allowance there.
Then, I took a break and completely forgot. Luckily, I forgot to reset my needle position on the machine so ended up sewing the side seams at .5″ anyway. It was perfect in the hips! That extra .25″ really helped, plus I know the denim will stretch a bit with wear.
The waist was way too big, so I took that in an extra .5″ from the top of the waistband down to the notches on each side.
